Overview of agrometeorological situation of August 10, 2021

Agrometeorological conditions for the formation of the corn crop in most of the territory of Belarus are quite favorable - the development of corn takes place with good heat and moisture supply. At the same time, in the southeastern and some eastern regions of the republic, there is a lack of moisture in the soil, caused by the continuing deficit of precipitation. According to the latest data on the main tracts in the southern half of the republic, corn is being filled with grain - milk ripeness has come. In the northern half of the country, the formation of reproductive organs continues in maize - the flowering of panicles and cobs is noted. Visual assessments of the state of crops are predominantly good. However, in the northern and eastern districts of the Gomel region, due to the influence of soil drought, drying of plants is observed, the state of corn in the observation plots is poor here.

In the near future, agrometeorological conditions on a large territory of Belarus will contribute to the loading of corn grain.
