Overview of agrometeorological situation of August 4, 2023
Despite the predominance of moderate temperature regime in July, corn development remains ahead of last year's deadlines. According to the latest observational data, the formation of reproductive organs is taking place in most areas of corn – the panicle has been swept out, the panicle and the cob are blooming. The predominant height of plants by the beginning of August was more than two meters, in some areas the corn is lower – a meter and a half. In the observed fields, the crops are mostly in good condition. In the near future an increase in the temperature regime and good moisture supply will contribute to the formation of a corn crop.
