Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 14, 2020
As a result of instrumental soil moisture determination moisture reserves are in good state in a half-meter soil layer. Areas with overmoistening of soils with heavy mechanical composition expanded with waterlogging in north-eastern and central regions of the country. Lodging of cereals, flax, and rape is observed in a number of regions due to intense rains.
Moisture reserves are satisfactory due to uneven distribution of precipitation in some areas of country on light soils. Low moisture reserves remained under grain crops in some places in the south-west of Mogilev and Vitebsk regions.
Expected weather without precipitation will contribute to drying out of waterlogged soils in the near future in the northeastern half of the republic.
