Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 24, 2020
Grain crops on main areas are ripening, wax ripeness is observed according to the latest data. Grain is fully ripe, massive harvest is being carried out in many areas of the southern half of Belarus. Grain filling of spring wheat continues and in some places in the north-eastern part of the republic of spring barley. Moisture content of spike crops is generally increased. Grain moisture close to the conditioned only in a number of regions in the southern part of the country.
Expected short-term rains will restrain maturation of grain crops and drying of grain, as well as pace of harvesting in the coming days. Moisture content of harvested grain will be predominantly higher than conditioned moisture.
