Overview of agrometeorological situation of July 25, 2023
The agrometeorological conditions for the formation of the potato crop are quite favorable. Visual assessments of the condition of potato fields are dominated by good ones.
According to the latest observational data, potato blooms have ended in many observation sites. The average mass of tubers under one bush at the end of the second decade of July slightly exceeds the level of previous years for the same period. At most observation sites, from 10 to 40% of tubers reached normal size.
In the near future, the agrometeorological conditions for the growth of potato tubers will not change significantly. The expected rains in most areas will maintain sufficient moisture supply, however, in the fields of those who have not undergone fungicidal treatment, they can provoke the appearance of diseases.
