Overview of agrometeorological situation of June 13, 2023
An unfavorable agrometeorological situation is developing in most of Belarus. The rains taking place mainly in the southern part of the republic only slightly softened the situation. In most areas of the country, primarily under grain crops, productive moisture reserves remain low. According to individual weather stations, the soil drought has reached the criterion of a dangerous agrometeorological phenomenon. On the lightest soils and elevated areas of grain crops, yellowing, twisting and drying of leaves is observed, in places the drying of plants has begun.
In the near future, difficult agrometeorological conditions will remain in most parts of the country, only in the second half of this week in the western part of the republic (Grodno and Brest regions), longer and more intense rains are expected to replenish the moisture content in the soil.
