Overview of agrometeorological situation of June 20, 2023
Passing rains have somewhat softened the agrometeorological situation, but not everywhere. On the morning of June 20, in Brest, in the most of territory of Grodno, in some areas of the Gomel region, the upper 10-centimeter layer of soil is well moistened. Good moistening of the topsoil was also noted in a number of districts of the Minsk and Mogilev regions, where the most significant rains took place the day before. In many areas of the northeastern half of the republic, especially in the Vitebsk region, the topsoil remains dry. On desiccated soils, carrying out agrotechnical measures for the care of crops is difficult, vegetables require regular watering.
In the near future, the expected rains will replenish the moisture content in the soil, but still unevenly.
