Overview of agrometeorological situation of May 14, 2022
Past rains, sometimes heavy, replenished the soil moisture content, but not everywhere. In most of Belarus, there is still enough moisture in the upper 10 cm soil layer. Weak moistening of the upper soil layer persists in certain northern regions and in the south of the country. Strong humidification is noted only by individual stations in the Vitebsk, Mogilev and Grodno regions. There are good conditions for planting potatoes, the emergence of flax seedlings. Frosts expected at the beginning of the week pose a danger to emerging corn seedlings and flowering fruit crops.
