Overview of agrometeorological situation of May 17, 2022
The unstable temperature regime reduces the rate of heat accumulation and the development of crops. On April crops, mainly in the southern half of Belarus, corn sprouted, the duration of the period from sowing to germination is from 10 to 16 days. The upper 10 cm soil layer is well moistened in most of the republic. However, due to the uneven distribution of precipitation, in a number of areas of the southern regions, weak moistening of the upper soil layer remains, according to AS Vasilevichi the top layer is dry. In some eastern regions, there is a strong moistening of the soil.
In the near future, the agrometeorological situation will not change significantly.
