The irregular distribution of precipitation across the territory of Belarus, combined with windy weather, led to a loss of moisture from the upper layers of the soil. According to the latest visual observations, the areas with insufficient moisture in the upper 10 cm soil layer have expanded. Weak humidification prevails in the southwestern half of the republic and in a number of districts of the Vitebsk region. According to AS Vasilevichi, the soil is dry at a depth of 10 cm. In the rest of the country, the topsoil is in a moderately wet state. In the coming days, the expected rains in most of Belarus should replenish the soil moisture content.
