Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 17, 2025
The observed decrease in temperature has slowed down the development of winter crops. According to the latest data, grain tillering is observed in areas sown mainly until mid-September. In late October crops, grain germination is underway, the duration of the period from sowing to germination is one and a half to two weeks. In winter rapeseed, the formation of a leaf rosette is observed. In the near future, the vegetation of winter crops will continue.
The topsoil in most of Belarus is well moistened. Unstable weather with precipitation will complicate field work in the coming days. Due to the expected frosts, agricultural products should not be left in the fields.
