Overview of agrometeorological situation of October 24, 2025
Moderately warm weather and sufficient moisture supply contribute to the further development of winter crops. Winter grain crops sown before September 15-20 are mostly tillered. In the fields where sowing was carried out in the last decade of September-early October, the 3rd leaf is observed and shoots have appeared. Grain germination is underway in late October crops. A leaf rosette has been formed everywhere in winter rapeseed.
The top layer of the soil is mainly in a moderately moist state. In some areas, due to the passing rains, the soil is heavily moistened, which makes it difficult to harvest corn, sugar beet, late vegetables, and winter tillage. Frequent, sometimes heavy, rains are expected in the near future, and areas with waterlogged soil will expand.
