Overview of agrometeorological situation of September 26, 2023
The rains that took place at the end of last week moistened the top layer of the soil mainly in Grodno, Minsk and in many districts of the Brest region. Conditions for sowing and the emergence of winter grain crops have improved here. According to the latest visual observations, in many districts of Gomel, in most of the territory of Mogilev and in a number of districts of the Vitebsk region, the upper 10-centimeter layer of soil is still poorly moistened or dry. There are difficult conditions for the germination of grain, the emergence of seedlings and the further development of winter crops.
Winter grain crops in the fields sown in the first half of September have shoots and a third leaf. Tillering began on the earliest crops. The agrometeorological situation will not change significantly in the coming days. Mostly without precipitation the weather will facilitate harvesting.
