Overview of hydrological situation of April 17, 2024

As of April 17, an increase in water levels with an intensity of 1-24 cm per day is observed on the Western Dvina near the agrotown Ulla, the Dnieper river on the Mogilev – Loev section and its tributary, the Ivnya-Budka canal. Throughout the rest of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the Neman, the Vilia, the Berezina, the Sozh and the Pripyat, there is a decrease (up to 8 cm per day) in water levels and their smooth course.
The water is located on the floodplain on most rivers of the Dnieper, the Sozh and the Pripyat basins, as well as on certain sections of the rivers of the Neman basin.
On the Pripyat, near the town of Petrikov, the water level exceeds the dangerously high mark by 23 cm, there is a smooth course of the water level.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, flooding of coastal territories is noted in a number of districts of the Gomel region and in some areas of the Brest region.
The water temperature has dropped and ranges in rivers from 5.8°C to 14°C, in reservoirs - from 7.3°C to 11°C.
In the coming days no significant changes in the river level regime are expected, the water temperature will drop.
