Overview of hydrological situation of April 20, 2022

As of April 20, due to precipitation there is an increase (up to 27 cm per day) in water levels along the entire length of the Neman, the Dnieper, the Berezina, the Sozh, the Pripyat in the section Chernichi - Petrikov, the Viliya near the village of Steshitsa, as well as on most of their tributaries. In the rest of the rivers mentioned above, as well as on the Zapadnaya Dvina, there is a decrease (up to 8 cm per day) in water levels.
The water levels exceed the marks of the water outlet on the floodplain on the Dnieper near the town of Zhlobin and the settlement Loev, the Sozh near the city of Krichev and the city of Slavgorod, its tributaries the Vihra river near the city of Mstislavl, the Oster near the village of Khodun and the Besed near the agr. settlement Svetilovichi, tributaries of the Pripyat the Styr river near the village of Lopatino, the Sluch near the agr. settlement Lenin and the Ptich at the village of P. Slobodka.
The water temperature ranges from 5.0°С to 9.4°С in rivers, from 5.7°С to 7.2°С in reservoirs.
In the coming days, the rise in water levels on most of the country's rivers will continue, as a result of which, the water levels will exceed the level of water outlet to the floodplain on the Berezina near the city of Berezino, the Shchara river, a tributary of the Neman, near the city of Slonim, and the Ivnya-Bond canal, a tributary of the Dnieper, near the village of Budka.
