Overview of hydrological situation of April 26, 2024

In the past day, on the Sozh tributary of the Pronya River near the village Letyagy and on the tributary of the Pripyat, the Ptich River near the village of Persha Slobodka, water levels exceeded dangerously high levels.
As of April 26, water levels continue to rise in most rivers with an intensity of up to 31 cm per day. A decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-14 cm is observed in the Western Dvina on the Surazh – Vitebsk section, the Dnieper on the Orsha – Mogilev section, the Pripyat on the Pinsk – Chernichi and the Sozh sections near Gomel.
The water is located on the floodplain on most rivers of the Dnieper, the Sozh and the Pripyat basins, as well as on certain sections of the rivers of the Neman, the Vilia and the Berezina basins.
On the Sozh tributary of the Pronya River near the village Letyagi, the Pripyat near the town of Petrikov, and its tributary the Ptich River near the village of Persha Slobodka, water levels exceed dangerously high levels. Water levels are close to dangerously high levels on the Dnieper near Zhlobin, tributaries of the Pripyat and the Sluch rivers near agrotown Lenin and the Tsna at the village Dyatlovichi.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, flooding of coastal territories is noted in a number of districts of the Gomel region, as well as in some areas of the Brest and Mogilev regions.
The water temperature in rivers ranges from 4.5°C to 12°C, in reservoirs - from 7.1° C to 10°C.
In the coming days the increase in water levels on most rivers will continue, as a result of which the water level on the Dnieper near Zhlobin will reach a dangerously high level.
