Overview of hydrological situation of April 8, 2022

As of April 8, the freezing up is incomplete only on the Lake Drivyaty, the ice is melting on the spot.

On the rivers Dnieper and the Sozh, the formation of the maximum water levels of the spring flood continues, the daily growth rate here is 2-10 cm. Over the greater part of the Neman, the Viliya, certain sections of the Berezina and the Pripyat, most of their tributaries, as well as on the tributaries of the Zapadnaya Dvina and the Zapadnyj Bug, an increase in water levels is observed due to precipitation. On the Zapadnaya Dvina, a decrease in water levels is noted.

The water levels exceed the water outlet marks on the floodplain on the Dnieper near the settlement Loev, the Sozh near the city of Slavgorod, its tributaries the Oster river near the village of Khodun and the Besed near the settlement Svetilovichi, tributaries of the Pripyat the Styr river near the village of Lopatino, the Sluch near the settlement Lenin and the Ptich at the village of P. Slobodka.

The water temperature in the rivers of the basins of the Zapadnaya Dvina is 0,3-5,9°C, the Neman, the Viliya, the Zapadnyj Bug, the Dnieper, the Berezina and the Sozh are 2,1-7,6°C, the Pripyat is 4,9-8,6°C .

In the coming days, there will be an increase in water levels on the country's rivers.
