Overview of hydrological situation of April, 8 2024

As of April 8, an increase in water levels with an intensity of up to 33 cm per day is observed in the Vilia, the greater part of the Western Dvina, the Neman, the Dnieper and certain sections of the Sozh, on the Berezina and the Pripyat there is a slight decrease in water levels and their smooth course.
The water is located on the floodplain on most rivers of the Dnieper, the Sozh and the Pripyat basins, as well as on certain sections of the rivers of the Neman and the Berezina basins.
In the Pripyat, near the town of Petrikov, the water level exceeds the dangerously high mark by 26 cm, there is a decrease in the water level with an intensity of 1 cm per day.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, flooding of coastal territories is noted in most areas of the Gomel region and in some areas of the Mogilev, Brest and Grodno regions.
The water temperature has increased slightly and ranges in rivers from 5.8°C to 13°C, in reservoirs from 6.7°C to 10°C.
In the coming days, fluctuations in water levels will persist on the country's rivers, and the water temperature will rise.
