As of 9 April, a rise in water levels with an intensity of up to 15 cm per day is observed on the Dnieper River, over a long stretch of the Pripyat River, on certain sections of the Neman, Viliya and Sozh rivers, on most of their tributaries, as well as on some tributaries of the Western Dvina, Western Bug and Berezina rivers. On the Western Dvina and Berezina rivers, a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of 1–10 cm is recorded.
On most rivers of the Dnieper, Sozh and Pripyat basins, water levels are within the floodplain.
According to data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, flooding of sections of roads is observed in the Gomel District of Gomel Region.
On the Neman River near the city of Grodno, the water level is below the mark that limits navigation.
In the coming days, a rise in water levels is expected on certain sections of the country's rivers.
