As of August 14, on the Western Dvina near the city of Polotsk, the Viliya near the city of Vileyka, the Sozh near the city of Krichev, and on some of their tributaries, water levels are rising with a daily intensity of 1–10 cm. On the remaining stretches of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the Neman, Dnieper, Berezina, and Pripyat, a slight (1–3 cm per day) decrease in water levels and a stable trend are observed.
Water levels are below the marks limiting navigation on the Western Dvina near the city of Vitebsk, the Neman near the city of Grodno, the Dnieper near the cities of Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa, and the urban settlement of Loev, the Berezina near the cities of Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near the cities of Krichev, Slavgorod, and Gomel, and the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi and the city of Mozyr.
On the Ross River, a tributary of the Neman, near the village of Studenets, the water level exceeds the mark for water overflowing onto the floodplain.
Water temperatures have decreased somewhat and range from 13°C to 23°C in rivers, and from 18°C to 21°C in water bodies.
In the coming days, no significant changes in the water level and thermal regimes of the rivers are expected.
