Overview of hydrological situation of August 5, 2021

As of August 5, on the Neman, Viliya, Dnieper, Sozha, Western Dvina near Vitebsk and Polotsk, Pripyat near Pinsk, their individual tributaries, as well as some tributaries of the Berezina and Pripyat, there is an increase (1-25 cm per day) of water levels due to precipitation. In the remaining sections of the above rivers, as well as on the Berezina and tributaries of the Western Bug, a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-13 cm is noted.
Unfavorable conditions for the operation of river transport are noted on the Western Dvina near Vitebsk, Neman near Grodno, Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, Rechitsa and Loev, Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, Sozhe near the city of Krichev, the city of Slavgorod and the city of Gomel. The water temperature in rivers and reservoirs ranges from 15°C to 24°C.
In the coming days, the rivers of the country will experience fluctuations in water levels with an upward trend, the water temperature will not change significantly.
