Overview of hydrological situation of January 14, 2022

As of January 14, shore ice and shuga-drift are observed on the Western Dvina near the city of Vitebsk, the Dnieper near the city of Mogilev, the Neman near the city of Grodno, most of its tributaries and on the tributaries of the Western Bug. In the remaining sections of the above rivers, as well as in the Berezina, the Sozh and the Pripyat, freezing and freezing with polynyas are observed, in some places there is water on ice. On the reservoirs Vileyskoye, Chigirinskoye, Zaslavskoye, Soligorskoye, Krasnaya Sloboda, lakes Lukomskoye, Drivyaty, Naroch, Vygonoshchanskoye and Chervonoe, ice cover is observed.

On the rivers of the country there are fluctuations in water levels with an intensity of up to 36 cm per day.

The water levels exceed the water outlet marks on the floodplain on the Neman near the village of Belitsa, the Dnieper near the settlement Loev, the Svisloch, a tributary of the Berezina, near the village of Terebuty, the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi, its tributaries the rivers Sluch near the village of Lenin and the Ptich near the village of 1st Slobodka.

In the coming days, fluctuations in water levels will be observed on the rivers of the country, on the tributary of the Neman, the Shchara River near the city of Slonim, the water level will exceed the mark of the water outlet to the floodplain. No significant changes are expected in ice conditions.
