During the past period (July 25–30), water level fluctuations were observed on the rivers. On the Dnieper near Mogilev and the Pripyat near Chernichi, water levels fell below the hazardous low marks for navigation, while on the Dnieper near Rechitsa, conditions for river transport operations improved.
As of July 31, water level rises with a daily intensity of 1–8 cm are observed on the Western Dvina near Ulla, the Neman near Grodno, the Viliya near Vileyka, the Dnieper near Zhlobin and Rechitsa, and the Berezina near Bobruisk. Along the remaining stretches of the aforementioned rivers, as well as on the Sozh and the Pripyat, water levels are falling with an intensity of up to 17 cm per day.
On the Ros, a tributary of the Neman, near the village of Studenets, the water level exceeds the floodplain inundation mark.
On the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev, Zhlobin, and Loyev, the Berezina near Bobruisk and Svetlogorsk, the Sozh near Krichev, Slavgorod, and Gomel, and the Pripyat near Chernichi and Mozyr, difficulties in river transport operations are observed.
Water temperatures range from 15°C to 23°C in the rivers, and from 20°C to 23°C in reservoirs.
In the coming days, a general decline in water levels and a steady regime are expected on the rivers.
