Overview of hydrological situation of March 10, 2023

 
As of March 10, glaciation and glaciation with polynyas persists on the Zapadnaya Dvina near the town of Surazh and settlement Ulla, Sozh near the city of Krichev and some of their tributaries, on the rest of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the Berezina, the greater part of the Dnieper, some sections of the Neman, Vilia, Pripyat, snowdrifts, zaberegs and shugohod are observed. On the lakes Lukomskoye, Drivyaty, Naroch, reservoirs Vileyskoye, Zaslavskoye and Soligorskoye, ice is observed with a thickness of 7 cm to 33 cm, the reservoir Chigirinsky – razvodya, Lake Chervonoye – edges, and on the reservoir Red Sloboda – take care of the residual.
On the rivers, there is mainly a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of up to 10 cm. A small (1-2 cm per day) increase in water levels is observed over a greater length of Pripyat. The water is located on the floodplain on most rivers of the Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh, Pripyat basins, some rivers of the Neman and Zapadny Bug basins.
In Pripyat, near the town of Petrikov, the water level exceeds the dangerously high mark by 9 cm . Water levels are close to dangerously high levels on the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi, its tributaries the rivers Sluch near settlement Lenin and Ptich at the village of Pershaya Slobodka, 7 cm, 9 cm and 2 cm, respectively. 
River flooding persists in a number of districts of the Gomel region.
In the coming days, given the expected nature of the weather, an increase in water levels will be observed on the rivers of the southwestern and western parts of the country, fluctuations in water levels will be observed on the remaining rivers, no significant changes are expected in the ice regime.
