Overview of hydrological situation of March 13, 2023
As of March 13, on the Zapadnaya Dvina near the town of Surazh and settlement Ulla, Sozh at the city of Krichev and some of their tributaries, ice and ice with polynyas are preserved, water has appeared on the ice. On the rest of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the greater length of the Berezina, the Dnieper, some sections of the Neman, Vilia, Pripyat, there are fences and shugohod. On the lakes Lukomskoye, Drivyaty, Chervonoye, Naroch, the reservoirs Vileyskoye, Zaslavskoye, Chigirinsky and Soligorskoye, there is ice and incomplete ice, and on the reservoir Krasnaya Sloboda – zaberegi.
On the rivers, there is mainly an increase in water levels due to precipitation, the intensity of the rise is 1-26 cm per day. The water is located on the floodplain on most rivers of the Pripyat basin, some rivers of the Neman, Zapadny Bug, Dnieper, Berezina and Sozh basins.
In Pripyat, near the town of Petrikov, the water level exceeds a dangerously high mark. Water levels are close to dangerously high levels on the Pripyat near the village of Chernichi, its tributaries the rivers Sluch near settlement Lenin and the Bird at the village of Persha Slobodka.
River flooding persists in a number of districts of the Gomel region.
In the coming days, water levels will continue to rise on most of the country's rivers, ice and ice formations will melt in the ice regime.
