Overview of hydrological situation of March, 29 2024

As of March 29, an increase in water levels is observed in the Western Dvina, the Neman near Grodno, the Dnieper near Mogilev and the Sozh on the Krichev – Slavgorod section with an intensity of 1-12 cm per day. In the rest of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as in the Vilia, the Berezina and the Pripyat, there is a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-6 cm. In most of the rivers of the Dnieper, the Sozh and the Pripyat basins, as well as in some sections of the rivers of the Neman and the Berezina basins, the water is on the floodplain.
Water levels exceed dangerously high marks in the Pripyat at the village of Chernichi by 2 cm, there is an even course of the water level and at Petrikov by 28 cm, there is a decrease in the water level with an intensity of 1 cm per day.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, flooding of coastal territories is noted in most areas of the Gomel region and in some areas of the Mogilev, Brest and Grodno regions.
In the coming days fluctuations in water levels will be noted on the rivers.
