Overview of hydrological situation of November 20, 2023

As of November 20, a small (1-7 cm per day) increase in water levels is observed on the Neman, the Dnieper on the Zhlobin – Loev section, the Pripyat on the Chernichi– Narovlya section, the Western Dvina near Verkhnedvinsk, the Sozh near Gomel, as well as on their individual tributaries and some tributaries of the Western Bug. In the rest of the above-mentioned rivers, as well as on the Vilia and the Berezina, there is a decrease in water levels with a daily intensity of 1-9 cm.
On a tributary of the Dnieper, the Ivnya-Bond canal at Budka village and the Pripyat tributary of the Sluch River at agro-town Lenin water is located on the floodplain.
Unfavorable conditions for the operation of river transport remain only on the Neman near Grodno.
The water temperature has decreased and is 0-3.9°C in the rivers of the basins of the Western Dvina, the Dnieper and the Sozh, the Neman and the Berezina 1.0-4.2°C, the Vilia 2.1-4.0°C, the Western Bug and the Pripyat 1.5-5.9° C, in reservoirs 1.7-3.0° C.
In the next five days the rivers will mainly experience a decline in water levels. Due to negative air temperatures, primary ice formations will appear on certain sections of rivers.
