Overview of hydrological situation of November 30, 2023
In the past period (November 25-29) ice-forming processes and ice cover setting continued on the rivers of the country. As a result of the formation of gaps and ice bridges there were sharp fluctuations in water levels. In the Vilia, near the agro-town Steshitsy the water level reached the water outlet mark on the floodplain.
As of November 30, ice with polynyas was established on the Zapadnaya Dvina near the urban settlement of Surazh and the village of Ulla, the Pripyat near Pinsk (Lyubansky Bridge), as well as on most of their tributaries. On the rest of the country's rivers, snezura, zaberegi and shugohod are marked. Glaciation has been established on the reservoirs of Chigirinskoye, Zaslavskoye, Soligorskoye, Krasnaya Sloboda, Lake Chervonoye, and on the lakes of Drivyaty, Naroch and Vileysky reservoir, fences remain.
Sharp fluctuations in water levels (up to 84 cm per day) are observed on rivers due to ice jams.
On the Vilia near the agro-town of Steshitsa, a tributary of the Dnieper, the Ivnya-Bond canal near the village of Budka, a tributary of the Pripyat river Sluch near the agro-town of Lenin, the water is on the floodplain.
On the Neman near the city of Grodno, Berezina near the city of Bobruisk, Sozh near the city of Krichev and the city of Slavgorod, water levels are below dangerously low levels.
In the coming days, the establishment of the ice cover will continue, fluctuations in water levels will persist.
