Information on exceedances of standards for ambient air quality (from May 6 to 12, 2021)

The state institution "Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring" informs about exceeding the quality standards for pollutants in the atmospheric air of the cities of the republic for the period from May 6 to 12, 2021.

In the air of Gomel near Barykina st., 319 on May 7, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 10 microns in size (hereinafter referred to as PM-10) was 1.5 MAC (the Southern wind prevailed at a speed of 4 m/s, the air temperature varied from + 2.9°C to +15,3°С, relative humidity range from 31% to 91%) and in the same area at 14:40 a short-term excess of the quality standard by 1.2 times for carbon oxide was recorded (a South wind was observed at a speed of 6 m/s, the air temperature was + 15.3°C, relative humidity 33%).

In the air of Zhlobin near Prigorodnaya st., 12 on May 7, the average daily concentration of solid particles, fractions up to 2.5 microns in size exceeded the quality standard by 1.9 times (the Southern wind prevailed at a speed of 2-12 m/s, the air temperature varied from + 2.9°C to +17,1°С, relative humidity range from 35% to 85%); on May 10 by 1.1 times (North-Eastern wind prevailed at a speed of 1-6 m/s, air temperature varied in the range from +2.2°С to +19.5°С, relative humidity range from 25% to 93 %).

In the air of the city of Mogilev in the area of Krupskaya lane, 5 on May 7, the average daily concentration of PM-10 was 1.4 MAC (the Southern wind prevailed at a speed of 1-4 m/s, the air temperature varied from +3.9°С to +15.5°С, relative humidity range from 31% up to 97%); on May 9 was 1.7 MAC (a North-Western wind was observed at a speed of 2-4 m/s, calm, air temperature varied in the range from +2.2°С to +14°С, relative humidity range from 25% to 74%); on May 10 was 1.3 MAC (weak South wind prevailed, air temperature varied in the range from +2.3°С to +19.4°С, relative humidity range from 23% to 73%). In the area of Pervomayskaya street, 10 on May 6 at 01:00 the concentration of phenol was 1.9 MAC (a Southeast wind was observed at a speed of 3 m/s, the air temperature was +13.8°C, relative humidity was 48%); On May 8 at 01:00, the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was 1.2 MAC (a Southerly wind was observed at a speed of 2 m/s, the air temperature was + 8.4°С, relative humidity was 97%).

In the air of Polotsk near Kulneva street on May 12, at 21:20, a short-term excess of the quality standard by 1.4 times was recorded for nitrogen oxide (an east wind was observed at a speed of 3 m/s, the air temperature was +15.2°С, relative humidity was 58%).
